Having an Abundant Lifestyle

HAVE AN ABUNDANT LIFESTYLE

Do you ever think to yourself how much you would like to have an abundant lifestyle? If so, what's the first thing that often comes to mind? Interestingly, many of us usually fall into two main categories when it comes to thinking about having an abundant lifestyle.

We may think about primarily one thing constantly...which can lead to a one-sided view causing an imbalance in focus due to lack of patience.

Or, we may think about so many things simultaneously...which can lead to tipping the scale overboard due to lack of clarity. 

Either way, we may become excited, yet anxious and overwhelmed with thought. Because as we look at the reality of our life, we may wonder if having an abundant lifestyle is even attainable. Yes, it is!

What does abundant mean?

Abundant is defined as, something there is plenty of or that exists in great amounts.

First, understand that having an abundant lifestyle means something different to everyone. However, there are at least four primary components that make up having an abundant lifestyle. Within these four components is where you will determine what is important for you in order to attain having an abundant lifestyle.

Here are 4 components to having an abundant lifestyle:

1. WEALTH

If you could earn a living being compensated in the highest conceivable means by providing quality and adding value to the lives of others, whereby you wouldn't feel like you were merely working a job, but that you would actually enjoy what you do to the extent that you would easily lose track of time while earning a living, what would that be? What would be your ideal career based upon your dominant talent, knowledge or skillset? What would be your ideal net worth? How much money would you like to have in your bank account? Why do you want to achieve wealth? How would wealth make your life better? 

Keep in mind you may have more than one source or endeavor to achieve wealth. Start with one core source of endeavor. If you have little to no funds, that's okay. Work with the funds, resources and connections you currently have to begin where you are now. Get educated. If formal education is not in the cards for you right now, then make full use of the internet. Read articles. Watch videos. Listen to audios. Network. Find a mentor in your field of interest. Utilize the necessary resources available to you. 

Master your skillset through daily right action, discipline and perseverance. After you begin to see consistent results in achieving your endeavor, then branch out to another complimenting source of endeavor and repeat the process...focus on crossing over one stepping stone at a time -- and do it to the utmost. If you believe it, you can achieve it. The key to achieving wealth is having a renewed mindset. 

2. HEALTH

Having wealth is no good if you are not in good health. Visit your primary care physician annually. If you have been diagnosed with a health condition, take necessary measures to sustain good health habits regularly. Replace habits such as smoking, using drugs or drinking alcohol with healthy forms of recreation. What would you consider to be your ideal healthy weight? Maintain steady movement in or around your home daily. Stay active with exercise by doing what you look forward to and enjoy doing for at least 30 minutes to an hour three times weekly. If going the gym is your thing, have at it. If you like to run, run. If you like to walk, then walk. If you prefer to go dancing, then do it. 

Additionally, eating nutritious well-balanced meals and snacks along with drinking plenty of water frequently throughout the day is important. As well, getting at least 6 to 8 hours of consistent uninterrupted sleep daily/nightly is a must. Maintain good grooming and hygiene habits daily. Get regular oral hygiene checkups throughout the year. 

Spiritual growth is important too. We have to be reminded that we are a spiritual being housed within our physical body. God is our Creator and Source. He gives us free will to make choices in life. However, it is up to us to be spiritually fit by having a listening ear in order to tap in and be in tune to hear what God wills for us, rather than making life harder on ourselves by making hasty decisions and poor choices. 

Likewise, it's okay hire a licensed therapist or skilled life coach to share what's on your mind, rather than keeping things bottled up inside, especially if there's no one in your life personally that you feel you can trust or talk to. Have no shame.

3. RELATIONSHIPS

It is inevitable that as long as we are on this planet, we will have to interact with others. Spending quality time with family, spouse, friends, co-workers, customers, and clients is an important aspect of getting to know them, and they getting to know you. There may be ups and downs in relationships. Life happens to all of us. Marriage, birth, divorce, and death happens. There are milestones to celebrate such as graduations, anniversaries, and job promotions. 

Unexpected crises may also occur such as a natural disaster, life threatening illness, vehicle accident, or job loss. There may be disappointments in relationships. People can get angry and mad, or happy and sad. Misunderstandings may happen. Betrayal can take place. 

How do you envision your relationships with individual family members, spouse or partner, friends, co-workers, customers, and clients? Are you willing to choose to become better at communicating with others by using a better selection of words, voice tone, facial expression, or body language? Are you willing to choose to become a better listener by taking the time to be patient and understand what others are really saying to you in order to come to a solution beneficial for all involved? 

Are you willing to spend daily quality time with yourself first in order to be more effective with the relationships you have with others? Make it a date.

4. STYLE

Interestingly, of these four components mentioned, style is often less adhered to, yet is one of the most powerful components available to help one identify their true authentic self from within, which is reflective of the abundant lifestyle that is seen. When it comes to how we dress, how we decorate our home, the type of music we listen to, the foods we like to eat and the way we prepare them, we all have our own signature style. 

There is often a measure of continuity in our sense of style regarding an aesthetic means of how we represent ourselves on a day-to-day basis, pertaining to sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound. What is your signature look on any given day? What type of furniture, color palette, and fabric textures are seen throughout your home? What fragrances or scents calm your mood? What unique ideas are you willing to implement in order to enhance and define your signature style even more? 

Be creative. Be authentic. Express your own beauty from within. Be you.

Summary

Visualize having the abundant lifestyle you desire in the highest way imaginable, as if you have already achieved the overall end result.

Be reminded of these 4 components to having an abundant lifestyle:

1. Wealth

2. Health

3. Relationships

4. Style

Create a vision board, draw an abundant lifestyle map or write a list starting from the end and working your way back to the beginning, regarding how you imagine your life to be, including the accomplishments you would like to achieve within each component. Establish primary goals within each component to complete within 12 months. Create sub-goals within each primary goal to complete within the 12-month timeline for each component. Be clear. Be specific. The abundant lifestyle you desire will begin to manifest.
